MASS TIMBER | LOGISTICS The scheduled and complete delivery is an essential part of every single project. As a standard binderholz ships their products CLT BBS and Glulam GLT with 40’ HC Containers in accordance with their clients to a determined port, a warehouse or directly to the building site. Our highly experienced logistics team has years of experience working with clients around the world ensuring timely deliveries. The overseas transports are separated into three main phases: 1) Loading, 2) Transport and 3) Unloading. In addition binderholz provides individual logistic concepts like break bulk shipment to port and transport with flat bed trucks directly to the building site. We are always happy to work on the most suitable logistics concept for your project. 1) LOADING CLT BBS and Glulam GLT elements are delivered in plastic-wrapped packages. The size of the package depends on the delivery sequence, the maximum permissible weight per package and production given specifications. Visible quality panels are deli- vered face down with the exception of the bottom- most panel to ensure the visible surface is protected from dirt and damage. Before loading binderholz provides packaging lists and 3D loading diagrams that illustrate the position of the packages in the container. In order to optimize the load capacity of the container some panels/packages may not be packed in an ideal sequence which may require sorting and re-stacking during the unloading process. All packages are labeled to indicate the package number and the content of the package. Containers are loaded with a custom-built loading plate. Packages are loaded horizontally or vertically, depending on the panel dimensions and loading diagrams, directly on the container floor without any dunnage in between. Packages can be also loaded onto a CLT BBS loading plate or sledge. Before the containers are sealed for shipment, packages are secured with strap hold downs. You can find fur- ther information in the „unloading“ section on the following page. The maximum dimensions for a 40‘HC Container are 7.4‘ x 8.5‘ x 39.5‘ (width x height x length).
